Our trip to the Smoky Mountains
July 4th week, 2000

Here's the clan in front of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.  It was all so very impressive.  Not only was the house amazing, but the grounds were unbelievable, too.

When returning to our van between visiting the Biltmore house, and going to their vineyards, we saw the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile in the parking lot.  We just had to get a picture.

After stomping grapes, Patrick puts his foot prints down on paper to keep as a souvenir.

There was a great jacuzzi right next to our cabin.  Just right for a quick dip.

This is a shot from our porch.  The cabin over-looked the Nolichucky river outside of Greenville, TN.

There were so many breathtaking shots in the area.  We enjoyed just driving around.

This was a beautiful creek that wound through the mountains between Greenville, TN and Asheville, NC.

We took the opportunity at the creek to skip some rocks for a while.  I showed the boys what I did back in Brown County, IN when I was growing up, which was pre-cable and Nintendo.
